Winterville, NC – BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE COASTAL PLAIN CONTINUES STRONG COMMITMENT TO YOUTH PROTECTION

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain announces the adoption of a new youth protection program and partnership with Praesidium, the national leader in abuse risk management. Club Care, Praesidium’s abuse prevention program specifically designed for Boys & Girls Clubs, exceeds the latest industry standards for youth protection and supports [Club Name’s] current efforts to keep members safe from harm and help them develop to their full potential. “Child sexual abuse is a very real danger in our society and I want our parents to know our commitment and dedication to proactively protecting those in our care,” said Donyell Jones.

Club Care includes rigorous training for volunteers and staff, comprehensive abuse prevention policies, and youth education curriculum for our members. Jordy Whichard says, “We are pleased to send the message that we will not compromise the safety of the youth in our Club for any reason.”

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
