WORD OF THE DAY:

Tango: (noun) a ballroom dance of Latin American origin in ²/ time with a basic pattern of step-step-step-step-close and characterized by long pauses and stylized body positions. 

Dancing the tango is one of my favorite ways to work out!

HEALTHY SNACK:

No Bake Bars

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats  
  • 1¼ cups chunky natural peanut butter 
  • ¾ cup of honey 
  • ¾ cup of dried cranberries or another dried fruit 
  • ½ cup of chocolate chips 
  • ¼ cup of sliced almonds or another nut

Directions:

  1. Stir oats, peanut butter, honey, dried fruit, chocolate chips, and chosen nut together in a bowl.  Press into a 9×11 –inch baking dish, using the back of a spatula to press into a flat layer. 
  2. Refrigerate mixture at least 1 hour. 
  3. Cut into 12 bars and wrap each individually in plastic wrap for storage. 
  4. Enjoy these no bake bars while listening to your favorite music bars!
CAREER OF THE DAY:

Record Producer

 

An extremely popular career, record producers work with their artists to pick the best songs, find the right studio for recording, and identify top musical support to create the album or record. This support team includes a music arranger, sound engineer and background singers or instrumentalists to contribute to the overall sound. Even after the recording is done, the record producer oversees the sound editing and makes decisions as to how the final product will be marketed. 

EducationA graduate degree in music or a music-related field is recommended. 

Salary: Music Producers average salary is $50,986. Now, it is important to understand this figure is an average. The pay scale they list ranges from the low-end of $29,000 to the high-end of $99,000.
