HEALTHY SNACK:

Now that class back in session you may feel a little tired. Did you know you get tons of energy from the food that you eat … like hard-boiled eggs for exampleTry this energizing snack to get you through the school day!

Ingredients:

  1. Cucumbers 
  2. Carrots 
  3. Sunflower seeds 
  4. Hard-boiled eggs  
  5. Toast (optional)  

Directions:

  1. Step 1: Boil eggs with a parent until ready. Then peel the eggs and cut them into halves 
  2. Step 2: Peel carrots into thin slices and dice cucumbers 
  3. Step 3: Using the carrot slices as eyebrows, mouths and/or hair and the diced cucumbers as eyes, see how many faces you can make.

As a Culinary Instructoryou teach culinary arts at a high school, vocational school, or college. Your job duties include demonstrating the proper techniques to prepare food, showing students how to use kitchen equipment, and teaching a variety of recipes.

Education/ Experience: Culinary Instructors hold at least an associate’s degree and have several years’ experience in both professional cooking and kitchen management. They also hold a professional certification. 

Salary: Wage hourly wage for a Culinary Instructor in the United States is $23
