CAREER OF THE DAY:

The US Navy in is the master of the sea. A navy is the branch of a country’s armed forces that fights on, under, or over the sea. A navy has several main jobs. It protects its country and its allies, or friends, as they carry on ocean trade. It also carries out attacks and other missions at sea during war.

In the Navy you can work on some of the largest ships in the world! You can also work under the water like Aquaman …. The only difference is that you will be in a submarine!  Submarines can be under the water for weeks at times without coming up to the surface.

CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:

Protect the City

It is not always just one person that needs help; sometimes, it is a whole city! As the superhero, you must face off against the villain to protect the city from being destroyed!

Materials: boxes, markers, strong tape

Instructions: First, create the city. Use boxes as the buildings, and to make it more realistic, draw doors and windows on the boxes to make it look like a city!

Now, it is time to play the game. One person is the superhero and one person is the villain. The goal of the game is for the superhero to get all the buildings standing up or for the villain to get all the buildings knocked over. Set up the city in the center of the space. The villain gets to choose half of the building that have to start knocked over. The superhero and villain start on either sides of the space. The superhero may run, but the villain can only move by taking huge steps. When you say go, both of the players start. Whoever can achieve their goal wins!
