The Tyrannosaur is an extinct dinosaur with powerful jaws and small claw like front legs.

CAREER OF THE DAY:

 

A Historian is a person who studies and writes about the past, and is regarded as an authority on it. Historians are concerned with the continuous, methodical narrative and research of past events as relating to the human race; as well as the study of all history in time. 

CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:

Dinosaur Themed Yoga Poses

Each dinosaur yoga pose represents something associated with the dinosaurs.   Modify the poses as needed.  Let the kids enjoy the yoga and be creative with their poses.

  1. Dino Egg: Child’s Pose 
  2. Triceratops: Extended Mountain Pose
  3. Pterodactyl:Airplane Pose – Fly like a Pterodactyl
  4. Baby Dino: Happy Baby Pose
  5. Apatosaurus:Start on your hands and knees.  Reach one hand up to the sky as high as you can reach and hold for a few seconds. Switch sides and reach your opposite hand up to the sky and hold a few seconds. Repeat.
  6. Walking Dinosaur: Start out on your hands and knees.  Reach your right arm in front of you.  Reach your left leg behind you.  Hold.  Repeat on the opposite side. Continue repeating side to side. 
  7. Stegosaurus: Cat Pose
  8. T-Rex: Stand with your legs spread apart.  Turn your feet so they are slightly facing outward.  Slightly bend your knees and hold.  Move your hands in front of you like Tyrannosaurus Rex.
