Happy Pumpkin Party Snack

Ingredients:

  1. 1-2 slices of cantaloupe melon
  2. melted chocolate
  3. 12 candy eyeballs
  4. 6 toothpicks 

Instructions:

Step 1:  Cut a slice of cantaloupe melon. It should be as thick as the cookie cutter you will use. Cut pumpkin shapes from the melon slice. 

Step 2: Use a knife to make two grooves along each melon pumpkin. Use the juice to fix the candy eyeballs. Draw the mouth with the melted chocolate. Mount each melon pumpkin on the toothpick.

CAREER OF THE DAY:

Radiologist

Radiologists are special doctors that use technology to find and treat injuries and diseases in our bodies. Cancer is one of the biggest diseases that they help find and treat. They go through at least thirteen years of education and training. This includes a four-year college, medical school, and special trainings for the career that they want. The average salary is $401,000 per year.

CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:

This week, Ms. Eliana and Ms. Oriana at the Dr. Ledyard E. Ross Unit made masks and shirts for breast cancer awareness month. They ironed on stencils onto plain white t-shirts. If you don’t have stencils, you can paint a pink design onto a plain t-shirt and write a nice message!
