PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT:

This week we will take a look at Myfuture.net Visual Arts. Activities in this program will allow you to increase your artistic skills through color theory, composition, painting, drawing, and mixed media. https://www.myfuture.net/activities?programs=10

Creating a Composition

In this activity you will focus on ways to arrange objects in artwork.

Items needed: digital camera or mobile device, pencil and paper

Directions: Form an L shape using your pointers and thumbs, put them together to create a square, this is called a frame.  Look through your frame, what objects do you see? Those items or objects are part of the “composition” framed by your hands.  Next you will create a composition series using 3 items around you.  Choose to sketch or photograph your composition.  Don’t forget to name your series.
