Sunshine Lady Club
Morehead City Sunshine Lady Club had its official opening in April 2005. The Club was the third Boys & Girls Club of Coastal Carolina to open. Today, the Club is now a part of the Boys & Girls Club of the Coastal Plains.
Why is it named the Sunshine Lady Club? Thanks to Doris Buffett and her non-profit organization, the Sunshine Lady Foundation. The foundation’s $500,000 matching grant launched a wide-spread community fundraising effort to build the 17,000 square foot facility.
