Ava Bryant received her Substituting Effective Teacher Training Certificate at Wake Tech Community College.  A native of Carteret County, she was the recipient of the Dr. Vivian H. Burke Community Leadership Award in 2019.  Ava began her career with Boys & Girls Clubs in 2014 and has served in various roles throughout her seven years.  Ava has been a Site Coordinator, Unit Director and currently serves as the Regional Vice President of Region 3 (serving Carteret & Craven Counties) for the organization.  Ava truly has a passion for kids; this shows through her work each day, and she enjoys seeing them grow into young adults.

She currently lives in Carteret with her husband, Rev. Chris Bryant Sr. and children Jari, Chris Jr., and Janara. She enjoys spending time with family, reading “true stories,” fishing, being by the ocean, serving in her community, and going to church at One Harbor in Beaufort.  Her Favorite Inspirational Quote: “I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who STRENGTHENS ME.” Philippians 4:13.
